The recent wave of national funding for repairs to schools with RAAC concrete failures, has resulted with being awarded the contract for the re-roofing of the sports hall at Watford Grammar School for Boys.

This project will commence in June, with a planned completion for the start of term in September. The plan consists of a full removal of the RAAC concrete roof panels, replacing them with an insulated metal roof.

We will be implementing an alternative method of weathering to avoid the complexities and cost of a temporary roof, introducing the temporary installation of a bespoke butyl pond liner to the inside of the hall to capture and dispose of the rain - a method we successfully used a few years ago at Bedford School.
